Senior Security management Consultant

In brief:

Information security requires sound processes and continuous attention. You advise and guide our clients in setting up and improving their security management practice. Our clients rely on your judgment. You independently add advisory and substantive improvement projects and help Valid grow in this market.

Your main duties will include

You will make Valid and its customers better when it comes to information security. Not drawing up a thick report, but providing structured and appropriate advice. Valid provides security management 'as a service' to its customers; you are their part-time Information Security Officer. Together with the customer you determine which activities need to be carried out and you coordinate them with the customer organization, Valid and other partners. As the basis of the approach, you determine the maturity level and 'risk appetite' of the organization and define the roadmap from 'as-is' to 'to-be'. This may include, for example, an ISMS implementation, a BCP or a security awareness program; you help fill in and execute the follow-up activities. Implementing a SIEM with SOC, or other technical measures may be part of the needs; as project manager, you take them up. Organizing a pen test with specialists? No problem! Towards the end of the year, you help the customer define activities and budget for the next year, in line with the detailed roadmap. Internally, you contribute to the development of Valid's security proposition.

You will work with Valid Managed Services and Valid Infra Pros colleagues. We have a shared passion for IT and have the best interests of our customers and colleagues at heart. We provide a wide range of infrastructure services to great organizations: large international players like Fujifilm and Neways, medium-sized companies like RSM and Sitech and also local players like Stienstra and Woonpunt. What they have in common with Valid: people are central and information security is higher and higher on everyone's agenda. You will therefore work together with all blood groups within Valid and even more closely with our security officers.

What we expect from you

• Passion for ICT and information security in particular;
• Demonstrated experience in providing consulting services;
• A strong vision of security and knowledge of the security market;
• A true team player and able to communicate the importance of cybersecurity;
• You have good communication skills, enjoy standing in front of a group to present and have a good command of the Dutch and English language both verbally and in writing;
• Minimum HBO working and thinking level, demonstrable from a completed ICT education, preferably security specialization;
• You possess a security management certification such as CISSP or CISM;
• Knowledge and experience with ISO 27001 and ISAE 3402 are a big plus;
• Willingness to take additional training in information security, cloud developments, architecture or risk management;
• You have relevant ICT knowledge, can differentiate and see connections between the elements of an ICT landscape.

Location:

You will alternate your home office with our office in Eindhoven. You will also sometimes visit our (potential) customers on location.
