Valid - service desk 2

What will you do?

Are you an experienced Technical Engineer who is ready for more challenges, variety, and a concrete growth path? Then we have an opportunity for you! At Valid, you will work with diverse and complex customer environments, ranging from high-tech industrial systems to sustainable energy infrastructure. You will be given every opportunity to develop into a Technical Specialist within two years.

What will you do?

As a Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for independently managing and optimizing our customers' infrastructure environment:

  • Monitoring and surveillance: You monitor four different monitoring tools (such as Nagios and SCOM) and proactively resolve events before they have an impact.
  • Second-line incidents: You handle more complex technical issues that the service desk cannot resolve immediately.
  • Making connections: You don't just see the problem with customer X, you recognize patterns and suggest improvements that benefit all customers.
  • Implementing changes: You implement standard changes and participate in patch cycles;
  • SPOC role: As the Single Point of Contact, you liaise professionally with third parties about incidents and changes;
  • On-call duty: Once every 7-8 weeks, you will be on call (after your induction period).

As an experienced Technical Engineer, you don't want to stand still. You are looking for challenge, variety, and an organization that truly invests in you. At Valid, you get exactly that:

Your growth path: Within two years, you will make the transition to Technical Specialist. We will support you in this with a study budget for certifications and a personal development plan. After an induction period, you will work completely independently and be involved in optimizing processes.
Technical diversity: No two days are the same. You will work for interesting clients in high-tech manufacturing, pure OT environments, and industrial complexes. You will gain exposure to both IT and OT and work with multiple monitoring tools instead of being stuck in one technology stack.
Modernization and innovation: You will be involved in the transition to central tools. This is your chance to influence new working methods and processes from the outset.

What do we offer?

  • A salary of €2,800 to €3,600;
  • A leased car, laptop, and phone subscription to ensure that your work can be carried out properly at all times;
  • Team outings to snow and sun;
  • Flexible working is possible both in the office and at home;
  • Ability to work with the latest Microsoft technologies;
  • An inspiring work environment with professional colleagues and room for personal input.

What do you bring to the table?

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Technical Engineer or 2nd Line Support Engineer;
  • Technical background: Good knowledge of Windows 11, Office365, and ITIL;
  • Eager to learn: You are willing and motivated to obtain Microsoft certifications;
  • Problem solver: You look beyond the incident and seek structural improvements;
  • Team player: Open, honest, knows when to escalate issues, and enjoys sharing knowledge.
Salary:

€2,800.00 – €3,600.00 per month
