Vesteda has once again chosen Valid as its IT partner

Vesteda has renewed its partnership with Valid. As a result, Valid will continue to be responsible for managing and further modernizing the housing investor and landlord’s IT environment in the coming years. The organizations have been working together since 2016, and with this new agreement, they will continue to build a stable, secure, and future-proof digital environment.

Workstation, network, and security management

Valid manages Vesteda’s entire workplace environment and recently oversaw the rollout of Windows 11. In addition, a SIEM SOC* environment has been set up, which monitors the organization 24/7 for cyber threats using an “eyes on screen” model.

Valid is also supporting Vesteda in the ongoing modernization of its application landscape. Where possible, older applications are being replaced or migrated to cloud and SaaS solutions. In addition, Valid manages the network infrastructure at all regional offices.

According to Arjan Regtien, Service Delivery Manager at Valid, security is playing an increasingly important role in this. “Security requirements are growing rapidly. Together, we are constantly exploring ways to further strengthen and modernize the environment.”

Reliable service and flexibility

For Vesteda, reliability in service delivery is a key factor in our partnership.Jan Ris, Head of IT & Security at Vesteda, explains: “Valid offers a great balance between well-established standard processes and the flexibility to provide customized solutions when the situation calls for it. The vast majority of their services are predictable and delivered as agreed. They’ve got that down pat.”

At the same time, he believes flexibility is just as important when unusual situations arise. “Sometimes there’s a hiccup in the process or an urgent situation. In those cases, you want someone who thinks along with you and is able to adapt quickly. Valid is a great IT partner in that regard as well. We know we can count on each other.”

Working Together to Build Digital Resilience

Digital resilience will be a key focus in the coming years. As an organization operating in the financial sector, Vesteda was required to comply with European regulations such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). This means that IT service providers and other suppliers must also meet strict requirements.

“What was good enough yesterday may no longer be sufficient today,” says Jan Ris. “Cyber threats are evolving at breakneck speed, and regulations are becoming increasingly stringent. In such an environment, your service provider plays a crucial role. Valid does an excellent job in this regard.”
