Zowonen is a young, ambitious housing corporation from Sittard-Geleen, which entered into discussions with Valid about digitizing business processes and a transition to flexible working. In this way, the organization wants to improve services to tenants.
The corporation's objective is to provide low-income and vulnerable people with suitable housing, in a livable living environment. The organization is responsible for over 14,000 housing units in the Western Mining Region.
ZOwonen had its own IT department of five people, but could not keep up with developments. Constantly new hardware and software, the cloud, security issues ... ZOwonen also wanted to switch to flex-working, because many of the employees are on the road daily or work partly from home.
ZOwonen entered into discussions with Valid with a view to digitizing its business processes and making its infrastructure more flexible and secure. Valid's first assignment was to design an architecture that met its strategic objectives: improved continuity and information security, and being able to work time- and location-independent.
ZOwonen had earlier realized that the complexity was increasing, and decided to put the complete ICT management in the hands of Valid. Since then, Valid has also been a permanent partner in the further digitalization within the corporation.
All ZOwonen employees switched to fleXpace®, a flexible working service developed by Valid.

ZOwonen could do with less IT capacity as a result. Vacant space is now being rented out. ZOwonen now engages its IT team with Valids private cloud, Microsoft Office365 and Azure cloud services. The flexibility gained also meant savings in square footage in its own office building.
